What Is an ISRC & Why It Matters

An ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is a unique 12-character identifier assigned to every sound recording. Radio stations, streaming platforms, and PROs use it to track airplay and pay you the royalties you've earned.

When your song airs on Di-VerZe Hitz Radio, we report the play using your ISRC. Your PRO then calculates and pays your radio performance royalties. Without a registered ISRC, those plays go untracked — and you lose money you're legally owed.

Get your ISRC before you submit. Most distributors (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby) assign one for free or low cost, or register directly at USISRC.org.
